Emoting Type by tylersticka Emoting Type by tylersticka
One of my typography assignments that I enjoyed a lot, I had to choose twelve words from a list of 20-something (I think), and using Illustrator I had to make a little composition for each that I chose that reinforced the meaning of that word, without warping the letterforms and using no colors or imagery.

They weren't mounted this ugly, I was just lazy when I made the JPEG version.

o sl w made me really happy. Probably the cleverest of the bunch. I also like TOWERING, Tight, demOlition (great image there) and Falling as well. I think "squish" is probably the weakest...

Good eye! Squish was the first one I did! XD Had to get that out of my system, apparently...

And after doing "fast," I literally copied and pasted it and did "slow," and it was one of those instances where I almost felt guilty that I didn't put more effort into it.
