Digital Art / Drawings / Portraits

Done as a submission for a computer art scholarship, this pic was done mostly by computer. I took a pic of my friend Ryan P. with my digital camera, instructing him to pose as shown. Then I put the image into Photoshop, and drew over the photo, using a mouse, to create the iconic drawing as accurately as possible. For the yellow lines, I simply sat in front of my monitor with a sketchbook, and sketched out the general shape as fast as possible, and scanned it. The background is actually a bunch of prismacolor marker streaks with a motion blur applied. I really dig this pic.

Cool stuff! Love the vector-shading of the guy, but the background could be better with just a little more simplicity. Minimalism is the way to go!
